The Little Free Library
322 Glen Eira Road, Elsternwick 3185

The Little Free Library was launched by Alison Goodman at Le Petit Lapin French Café on Saturday 21st of May 2016 in conjunction with Juliet M. Sampson’s new book Dance Demons.
The Little Free Library initiative started in America and now spans the world. Little Free Libraries have been popping up everywhere and are starting to spread across Melbourne too.
When Juliet found out about The Little Free Library movement she wanted to share her love of books too. Former primary teacher and now author she approached Christine Sakkal asking if this new Little Free Library could have a home at Le Petit Lapin Café. Christine, a supporter of books and new projects happily agreed to have the little library in her Elsternwick café.
Now what was needed were books. Juliet wanted to make this Little Free Library special. She reached out to other Australian authors who were willing to donate some books to get the new little library started.

LISTED BELOW ARE THE AUTHORS WHO HAVE KINDLY DONATED THEIR BOOKS TO START THE COLLECTION:
Errol Broome, Corinne Fenton
Rosanne Dingli, Alison Goodman
Sofia Goodsoul, Patrick Guest
Ashley Hay, Carolyn Hirsh
Leah Kaminsky, Michael Panckridge
Juliet M Sampson, Theresa Smith

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THESE AUTHORS.
Thank you also to Jillian Sammut for her help and support with this new Free Little Library.

THE IDEA OF THE LITTLE FREE LIBRARY IS TO: TAKE A BOOK AND LEAVE A BOOK. This helps continue to spread the LOVE of books and then the little free library will always be full of books and never empty. Thank you for your support with this project. The idea allows for the involvement of the community and brings together people of all ages.

‘Spread sunshine and inspiration.’
